With this new intake, we resume our four-month internship programme, a central pillar of ITSector’s talent attraction and development strategy, reflecting our long-term commitment to strengthening teams in a sustainable way.
This year’s cohort brings together different technology tracks across .NET, Java and React. In an initial phase, our new joiners will attend their respective Academies, where they will consolidate core knowledge and deepen their technical skills. Following this stage, they will be integrated into our Business Units, working in a real project environment and benefiting from close support from an assigned mentor.
Joana Pereira, Talent Acquisition Manager at ITSector, highlights the programme’s focus on hands-on development and close guidance: “Our goal is to combine technical academies with real project exposure, while also developing essential skills such as communication, teamwork and adaptability. Each intern is closely supported, from the academy stage to project allocation, through a structured plan, regular feedback and clear goals.”
Our approach has also proven effective over time, with many interns continuing their journey at ITSector. Joana Pereira notes that a significant number of employees started their path through an internship, and that it is often a gateway to long-term integration within the company. Whenever there is strong alignment between performance, motivation and business needs, we seek to provide continuity and support the next steps in that professional journey.
As the programme continues to grow, selecting the right profiles remains essential. ITSector looks for students with solid technical and interpersonal foundations, curiosity and a strong willingness to learn. Proactivity, team spirit and the ability to embrace challenges with a constructive attitude are highly valued. More than previous experience, the company values potential, commitment and a genuine interest in growing in a real-world environment.
We look forward to seeing this new group of tech-savvy engineers grow in the months ahead. More than the work itself, we hope they build strong relationships and lasting memories with the team, taking full advantage of the many informal moments that shape life at ITSector.
